70th Session of the UN, The Pope In New York, & The Sustainable Development Agenda 2030
On Friday September 25th, Pope Francis will be in New York City to address the United Nations General Assembly at 8:30 a.m. local time. (for a good summary of the Pope’s schedule of events in the US, please refer to this link)
Specifically the Pope will celebrate the unveiling of the UN’s Sustainable Development Agenda 2030.
With the Pope in attendance, this UN session could be very significant from a prophetic perspective as ALL THREE types of ruling powers, symbolically described in Rev 16:13-14 as the Dragon, the Beast and the False Prophet, will be represented. Moreover ,they will be delivering a message that focuses on global “peace and safety”, but in reality it is a message of deception designed to further their “iron-like’ global control over the “clay”.
The details of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development have already been released in advance on a dedicated website (see here). Their agenda emphasizes the five “P”s of People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership. The following preamble makes their agenda sound all warm and fuzzy:
“This Agenda is a plan of action for PEOPLE, PLANET and PROSPERITY. It also seeks to strengthen UNIVERSAL PEACE in larger freedom. We recognise that eradicating POVERTY in all its forms and dimensions, including extreme POVERTY, is the greatest global challenge and an indispensable requirement for sustainable development. ALL COUNTRIES and all stakeholders, acting in collaborative partnership, will implement this plan. We are resolved to free the human race from the TYRANNY of POVERTY and want to HEAL and SECURE our planet……As we embark on this collective journey, we pledge that NO ONE WILL BE LEFT BEHIND ….. “
But does this language remind you of something that is written in the Bible? I think there is a strong echo with the words of Psalm 72, which we know is talking about the peace, justice and prosperity that Christ will bring to the earth when He returns:
Psalm 72:1 (ESV) Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to the royal son!
2 May he judge your people with righteousness, and your POOR with justice!
3 Let the mountains bear PROSPERITY for the PEOPLE, and the hills, in righteousness!
4 May he defend the cause of the POOR OF THE PEOPLE, give deliverance to the CHILDREN OF THE NEEDY, and CRUSH THE OPPRESSOR!
12 For he delivers the NEEDY when he calls, the POOR and HIM WHO HAS NO HELPER.
13 He has pity on THE WEAK and THE NEEDY, and saves the lives of THE NEEDY.
14 From OPPRESSION and violence he redeems their life, and precious is their blood in his sight
Despite all the outward appearances and media proclamations of peace and goodwill, this gathering of global leaders in New York City will not be acting to defend the interests of the poor all over the world. Of course the media will be conveying that we have honest leaders acting selflessly to save the planet! But when it comes to the Kingdoms of Men, the Bible aptly depicts the leaders as wild beasts down throughout history, and the situation is no different today. The reality is that those in control consistently act in a very selfish and destructive manner, and the poor get trampled on.
Now this gathering of world leaders, at what very interestingly will be the 70th session of the UN, may prove to be a “crystallization” of what is prophesied Rev 16:13-14 as part of the 6th vial period.
Rev 16:13 And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the DRAGON and out of the mouth of the BEAST and out of the mouth of the FALSE PROPHET, three unclean spirits like frogs. 14 For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.
Exactly who do the Dragon, the Beast, and the False Prophet symbolize? Rather than any particular nation or person, they stand for three styles of leadership or influence in the Kingdoms of Men – they represent three major methods by which the rulers are able to exert control over and deceive the common people. The Dragon represents an anti-God /Humanistic style of Leadership, the False prophet represents a Religious style of leadership, and the Beast represents an Economic style of leadership. On occasions two or all three styles of leadership combine together. Allow me to briefly elaborate on this. .
The Dragon – is a style of leadership that is associated with the “old serpent”, “Devil” and “Satan”, and hence is a power that stands against God’s truth and deceives people by promoting the lusts of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. In Rev 12:9 it symbolized the rulership of Pagan Roman with all of its false concepts and teachings, and its pro-activeness in persecuting the saints. But we know that the power of the Symbolic Dragon is still alive in Rev 20 during the millennium, long after the events of Armageddon. In Revelation 20 it refers to the problem of human nature in opposition to God that will be “bound” but finally released during the millennial reign of Christ (Rev 20:2).
Accordingly I don’t think its possible to limit the Dragon power to one nation or a particular group of nations. Rather I believe the symbolic Dragon is applicable to any human power and authority that defiantly rejects God’s declared truth and instead promotes the ways of the flesh to the masses. For example, I would consider not only the leadership of Russia and China as displaying characteristics of a Dragon power, but increasingly the US given its recent rejection of God’s established laws on marriage, along with the depraved “Sodom and Gomorrah” like characteristics that permeate many aspects of society. Such conditions that are now prevalent in western society make it very difficult for true believers to live a Godly life, to maintain their faith until the end, and to raise their children to value what God plainly declares in his word above what the “wisdom of men” is declaring in opposition.
The False Prophet – is a power that deceives by claiming to be God’s representative on earth. The Pope clearly fits the bill.
The Beast – the foundation to understanding the power of beast is Daniel 7, and it refers to those who have control over empires and do so for their own selfish interests. We know from scripture that at various times the Beast is aligned with or yields its power to the Dragon or False Prophet . It’s important to remember that without the ability to control the issuance of “money”, and obtain necessary funding any religious or political leader’s ability to govern is severely hamstrung. Today, any major power won’t be able to go to war and fund their military operations, unless the banks and, more importantly, the central banks agree.
Prior to the French Revolution, and definitely prior to the 20th century, most governments or Kings around the world were in control of their money supply. They did not have to ask their bankers to provide them with funds, as they had full control over the empire or country’s money supply and treasury. There were no independent central banks. However, the world is very different today, central banks are independent, and they have more influence over the globe than the power of presidents. For example, in the case of the US, no one could possibly ever become president today unless they have the backing of the banks and major corporations to fund their election campaign, and the support of the corporate controlled media to paint them in a positive light. We only have to look at what has happened this week with the whole world nervously awaiting the Fed’s decision on interest rate, to realize how much power the central banks have.
A few famous historical quotes may help illustrate the point that the underlying power of the Beast must be economic:
Baron Nathan Mayer de Rothschild [1777-1863]
“I care not what puppet is placed upon the thrones of England to rule the empire on which the sun never sets. The man that controls Britain’s money supply controls the British Empire, and I control the British money supply.”
Thomas Jefferson 1802
“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered”
Napoleon Bonaparte, 1815
“When a government is dependent upon bankers for money, they and not the leaders of the government control the situation, since the hand that gives is above the hand that takes… Money has no motherland; financiers are without patriotism and without decency; their sole object is gain.”
Wright Patman, US Congressmen from 1929 to 1976, Chairman of the United States House Committee on Banking and Currency
“In the US today, we have in effect two governments. We have the duly constituted government, then we have an independent, uncontrolled and uncoordinated government in the Federal Reserve, operating the money powers which are reserved to congress by the Constitution.“
Josiah Charles Stamp, (21 June 1880 – 16 April 1941) Former director of the Bank of England and chairman of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway.
“Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money.”
The same point was actually well stated in a recent movie called “The International”
“The International” http://youtu.be/xJZUIUrT_f0
The real value of a conflict is in the debt that it creates” “You Control The Debt, You Control Everything” “This is the very essence of the Banking Industry, to make us all – whether we be nations or individuals – slaves to debt”
And the same point is stated in the Bible:
“The strong oppress the weak, the rich rule the poor, the borrower is servant to the lender.”
Three Unclean Frog-Like Spirits
Now Revelation 16:13-14 is telling us that “three unclean spirit like frogs” (v13) will come out of the mouths of the three main forms of false leadership in the Kingdoms of Men, and such will be “demonic spirits” accompanied with their ability to “perform signs”, which eventually will result in all nations being gathered for Armageddon. Let me spell this out to make it easier:
1) It is a persuasive message with frog like characteristics”. The first occurrence of frogs in the Bible is in Exodus 8 is when Pharaoh made a false promise of letting the people go. We also know that “frogs” historically was a symbol of the French, and the motto of the French Revolution was the promise of “liberty, equality and fraternity” to all. So putting this together, the “unclean” frog-like spirits are a FALSE promise of liberty equality, and fraternity, and this is an apt description of the proposed 2030 Agenda. They are promising liberty, equality and fraternity for all, but in reality they are lying and deceiving the masses (see below for more comments on how the interests of multi-national corporations are really driving the 2030 agenda).
2) It is message that is breathed out of their mouths – it is really based on their selfish interests to extend their own power. It’s interesting that a Frogs have huge eyes – lust of the eyes, they have huge mouths – lust of the flesh, and they they puff themselves up- pride of life.
3) It is intended for “the kings of the earth and the whole world”
4) It reaches the whole world by “demonic spirits”. “Spirits” refers to a medium or media. Often we explain “demons” as referring someone who is crazy or mentally disturbed, and this certainly fits the type of message that they are conveying. Thayer notes that the greek word “daimon” refers to a god or goddess, or an inferior deity whether good or bad. Hence, they have the ability to act like gods, and exercise authority over the common people. It’s also interesting to note that the “daimon” comes from the root “daio” which means “to distribute fortunes”.
Hence “demonic spirits” refers to the method by which the powers ruling in the Kingdoms of Men, symbolized by the Dragon, Beast and False prophet, are able to set themselves up like gods and deceive the masses. In this regard, one of the main tools, if not the main tool, is how ownership and control of global “media” is in the hands of very small number of global corporations who own most of the so-called “reputable” TV channels and internet news sites. They are able to use the mainstream media to convey their message as “truth”, and are able to use the media to “perform signs” to influence public opinion to agree with the outcomes that they are striving for.
5) The ultimate result will not be peace, but rather all nations assembling for war.
6) The false message is proclaimed prior to Christ’s return to believers. We know from the context of the next verse in Rev 16:15 (“Behold I come as a thief…”), that this deceptive message will be proclaimed prior the return of Christ to the household of faith.
So this gathering of global leaders on September 25th, and the message of global Peace and Safety they are intending to deceive the world with, may well be a focused fulfillment of Rev 16:13-14, which first started to play out when the Euphrates was dried up (Turkish Power) at the end of WW1. The symbolic powers of the Dragon, False Prophet and Beast will all be gathered in one place to unitedly promote a message of liberty, equality and fraternity to the world, but it is a deceptive message that they have designed to entrench their power.
Evidence why the 2030 Agenda Will Be A Deception
To illustrate the extent of the deception that is occurring behind the scenes, please refer to this interesting article “UN plan to save Earth is “fig leaf” for Big Business”. It describes how several participants in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development became horrified by the extent to which multi-national corporations have influenced the entire process. So much so, that insiders are claiming the UN is actually marginalizing the very people it claims to be saving – the poor, the weak, and the voiceless.
Some key highlights from this article include:
“Records from the SDG process reveal that insiders at the heart of the UN’s intergovernment engagement negotiations have criticised the international body for pandering to the interests of big business and ignoring recommendations from grassroots stakeholders representing the world’s poor”
“Formal statements issued earlier this year as part of the UN’s Post-2015 Intergovernmental Negotiations on the SDGs, and published by the UN Sustainable Development Division, show that UN ‘Major Groups’ representing indigenous people, civil society, workers, young people and women remain deeply concerned by the general direction of the SDG process — whereas corporate interests from the rich, industrialised world have viewed the process favourably.
“This allegation is borne out by UN records, which show that its own Major Groups representing the very people the global institution professes to be empowering —poor people in developing countries — are increasingly sceptical of the SDG agenda.”
“Despite overwhelming support from UN member states for a more robust and transformative approach, the report reveals that “a vocal minority, including the Vatican and Saudi Arabia, has once again blocked consensus.”
“The failure of the SDG process to incorporate such criticisms from the UN’s own Major Groups representing marginalized communities, is a direct result of entrenched power disparities within the UN itself.
“According to an expert report circulated to UN officials, a detailed analysis of SDG documents reveals that the entire process has been “fundamentally compromised” by corporations with a vested interest in continuing business-as-usual.
“By removing all discussions about power from the SDG process, “the increasingly unpopular neoliberal agenda remains fully in place. The total omission of corporate and banking power from SDG texts, despite their unprecedented prevalence in the UN process, “is very telling in its own right,” he told me. “We know that multinational corporations are the most powerful political actors, and that they are profoundly concentrated vehicles for wealth consolidation.”
I hope you find this interesting as we await the imminent return of our Lord and Master, who is the only one who can bring peace and prosperity to this world.
