Referring to the awful state of mankind and the world 1000’s of years ago, the Bible records,

“Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God and the earth was filled with violence…Then God said to Noah, ‘The end of all flesh has come before me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them, and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.’” Genesis 6

Most people on earth when asked about how they feel about or view the current state and future of the world, if they’re honest, would have to agree that nothing has changed in 1000’s of years as it relates to the world’s immorality and violence. In fact, it’s even gotten worse, as God said would happen. Even worldly unbelievers can see something not good and noteworthy is going on:

“Whereas apocalypses, ends of the world, were the stuff of religious fantasy, they now have hard form in the real world.” Martin Amis, English novelist, once said in the early 1990’s…decades ago.

We respectfully point out, therefore, that what Mr. Amis and others will do well to consider is that “apocalypses, ends of the world” were never “religious fantasy” to begin with:

“What I say to you I say to all, ‘Be on the alert!’” Jesus Christ, Mark 13

“For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Matthew 24:37-39

“There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the inhabited earth; for the powers of heaven will be shaken. Then they will see The Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” Luke 21:25-27

“Because lawlessness is increased, the (spiritual, moral) love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. This good news of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole inhabited earth as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:12-14

“When you (disciples) see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.” Jesus Christ, Luke 21

“And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward Your bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who corrupt the earth.” Revelation 11:18

“Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.” Acts 17:30, 31

BibleReader“The conclusion, when all has been heard is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.”Ecclesiastes 12:13,14

“Behold, I am coming quickly, and my reward is with me, to render to every man according to what he has done.” Revelation 22:12
