Introducing the Cherubim
This is the 35th presentation in the scripture study series entitled Visions of the Kingdom Age that is being presented at the Cranston Rhode Island Christadelphian Ecclesia. As we have previously noted, there are a number of intentionally complex visual representations recorded in the Bible depicting the immortalized Christ and the saints. It never takes very much research or mental effort to prove that foundational understanding of how Ezekiel’s 3 visions of the cherubim, Isaiah’s vision of the seraphim, Daniel and John’s visions of the composite man, John’s visions of the 4 living creature and 24 elders, and his vision of the cloud clothed and rainbow crowned angel and the bride of the Lamb… all share the distinction of being shadow representations of the immortalized Christ and the saints. That basic understanding is very easy to prove in each case, just as we did with Isaiah’s seraphim vision through John’s identification of that vision as representing the glory of Christ. We can do the same with each of those other immortalization shadows. The cherubim share significant details with John’s 4 living creatures that identify themselves for us by saying to the Lamb in Revelation 5: You are worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And have made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
That is quite definitive. If one wishes to suggest slight differences between the 4 living creatures and the cherubim somehow eliminate both visions from applying to the same application, they should review the 18th class in this visions of the Kingdom series that explains how the creational rules of shadow construction apply perfectly to the Creator’s use of shadow visions, rituals, laws and miracles. These visions of the cherubim are shadows cast by the substance of the promise of immortalization. Just as shadows of the same substance can present somewhat different 2 dimensional shapes at different times of the day so the shadow visions of our heavenly Father can testify to the same substance in slightly different terms at different stages in the unveiling of His plan. This is one of the features of that intentional complexity our Creator employs as a filter to give more to those who have the necessary circumcised heart while simultaneously taking away from those who do not have the necessary circumcised heart. Employing the creational shadow rules to interpreting scripture is licensed by our continuing understanding that the terms and features and laws of creation serve as that 2nd required testimonial witness in any life and death judgment, due to the fact that creation perfectly parallels the testimony of the Bible.
It is this foundational recognition that these visions of the seraphim, cherubim, composite man, 4 living creatures, 24 elders, cloud covered angel and the bride of the Lamb all shadow the same substance that enables those with seeing eyes and hearing ears to learn the features and the qualifications for the conditional promise of inheriting the immortal nature of our Creator and thereby realizing all the subsequent joy and glory. Therefore this is a very appropriate subject to consider in relation to our theme of visions of the Kingdom Age.
As we consider Ezekiel’s 3 visions of the cherubim, with their 3 very definitive timestamps we are going to have to address quite a number of questions in relation to these cherubim visions. We will also have to note the similarities and the differences in the descriptions of the cherubim compared to the other immortalization shadow visions of Isaiah, Daniel and John. This comparison will provide a rich and substantial understanding of both the terms and -very importantly – the qualifications for the very conditional promise of immortalization. This will also reveal an incredible degree of hidden glory that is intentionally insulated from the view of all but those with seeing eyes and hearing ears within the enlightened community. That glory will be seen in how the cherubim vision description and timing will blend perfectly, harmoniously with not only all other divine expressions in every divinely appointed age but also every corresponding feature of creation that is referenced in these visions. This absolute agreement in all the shadow testimony of God will demonstrate a progression from the flesh goal of mere unity that is only based on a toleration of diversity…. to the divine goal of harmony based on complete and universal agreement… that empowers seeing eyes and hearing ears to witness the glory of the 3 dimensional perfection in all of God’s testimony. We have no room for opinions and conjecture when the terms of our Creator’s righteousness – His right-ness – is at stake.
Let’s begin by recognizing the challenge we face in getting everything perfectly right so that we can witness that hidden glory that will soon be revealed in our last generation of the Ecclesial Age and begin to cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. We will start by asking some of the questions we will have to address in order to plumb the value of this very complicated vision.
These questions will include but not be limited to:
- Why does Ezekiel have specifically 3 cherubim visions and why are they each timestamped to a particular day and year? Why are the 2nd and 3rd visions particularly identified directly with the 1st vision? Why is the 3rd vision also directly identified with the 2nd cherubim vision in addition to being identified with the 1st? After all, that tool of surgical redundancy should be an alarm bell for those within the enlightened community.
- We also are compelled to ask why there is a repeated ‘doubled 4’ identification that is being absolutely shouted in this vision of the Immortalized Christ and the saints. Why do we see this dramatic emphasis of the number 4 in these cherubim visions? Why is this vision of the 4 cherubim with 4 faces & 4 wings above those 4 wheels within 4 wheels also framed inside the foursquare identification of an infolding fire, a whirlwind, a cloud and a brightness? Does this have anything to do with the 4 Hebrew letters in the memorial name of God… YHWH? Does it have anything to do with the doubled foursquare wilderness configuration of the enlightened community? … or the doubled 4 nature of the 2 prophesied resurrections of the nation of Israel in Ezekiel’s dry bones prophecy in chapter 37? In other words, is this doubled 4 feature of the cherubim vision actually part of a scripture wide patter and if so… why?
- Why are there exactly 420 days between the 1st and 2nd cherubim visions and
- why do they have separate geographical identifications of Babylon and then Jerusalem and why is it the prophet is physically present for the first vision but simply transported in spirit to Jerusalem for the 2nd vision?
- We will have to look at timestamps and timing progressions, like what does the 30th year indicate for Ezekiel’s first vision and why is the 2nd vision exactly 420 days later? and why the vision of the cherubim in chapter 10 immediately follows the vision of the near destruction of Jerusalem in chapter 9 by those 6 that come out of the north? Why is the exact day and year identified in the 3rd cherubim vision within the framework of the 8 chapter prophecy of the Millennial Kingdom and the 4th divine sanctuary that will be constructed and how is that vision is identified with a significant 50th jubilee year?
- We will need to examine the 4 faces of the 4 cherubim and consider the repetitive pattern of 3 within a pattern of 4 that can be easily witnessed in these faces and ask where else we see this pattern repeated in scripture and why is this a divine pattern? Is there a prophetic nature to this pattern of 3 within a pattern of 4?
- We have to ask why there are 4 wheels within 4 wheels and why that defining cry is made… “O Wheel” in that 2nd cherubim vision.
- We are also going to have to research the other cherubim applications throughout scripture, like the guardian of the tree of life, the solid gold cherubim on the ark of the covenant, the cherubim woven into the veil Hebrews tells us represents the flesh nature of our Savior and the 2 massive golden cherubim in the Most holy Chamber of Solomon’s temple. What do these strobe-like applications of the cherubim appearing throughout scripture tell us about Ezekiel’s 3 visions of the cherubim?
- Will will have to think about the feet of the cherubim that are identified as calves feet, cloven hooves, that look like burnished bronze and how that identification of the feet corresponds perfectly to all the other immortalization shadows in the range of our consideration and actually beyond into other identifications of the saints. We will have to understand why this foundation of the cherubim vision, the feet, demonstrate a doubled cloven construction… especially since there are exactly 2 aspects to every divine truth and principle and the act of cleaving is powerfully and repeatedly identified with salvation images throughout the Bible.
I think that is a lot of questions to start with. There will be more but the answers to these questions can be addressed within that necessary framework of harmony with all other avenues of our Creator’s testimony, satisfying that 3 dimensional requirement for correctly understanding our heavenly Father’s testimony.
Perhaps we should begin by identifying the 3 cherubim visions Ezekiel experiences and at least identifying the individual timestamps and geography for each vision.
The 1st is very easy to identify. It is the 1st chapter of Ezekiel.
Ezek 1: 1-3 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God. 2 In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin’s captivity, 3 The word of the Lord came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the Lord was there upon him.
Then verse 4 to the end of the chapter is the description of the cherubim that Ezekiel witnesses but the divine communication to Ezekiel continues into chapter 3 where it concludes with the prophet sitting astonished for exactly 7 days due to the power of this vision.
We have a timestamp and a geographic location for this vision. It takes place by a river in the metropolitan area of Babylon. It is a 30th year, but we are not told the context of what constitutes that 30th year, although we are told Ezekiel was a priest and priests became active when they turned 30. We are also told is was the 5th day of the fourth month in the 5th year of King Jehoiachin’s captivity.
In chapter 8 we have the timestamp and geography for Ezekiel’s 2nd vision of the Cherubim.
Ezek 8:1-4 And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord God fell there upon me. 2 Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber. 3 And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. 4 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.
For this vision Ezekiel is transported in spirit to Jerusalem. He is not physically present at Jerusalem. He identifies what he sees as the same vision he witnessed in the plain outside Babylon and again identifies this vision as representing the glory of God, just as he did for the 1st vision. The prophet identifies this vision directly with the first vision in chapter 10, vs 15 where he says very definitively: This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar.
This is now the 6th year and the 5th day of 6th month. Therefore we know there are exactly 420 days between the first and 2nd cherubim vision, as every month is based on the lunar pattern with 30 days. It had been 14 months to the day from the 1st cherubim vision. The record of this vision concludes at the end of chapter 11 where Ezekiel sees the cherubim settling on the mountain to the east of Jerusalem… which can only identify the Mount of Olives.
Ezekiel’s 3rd cherubim vision is within the framework of his extensive vision of the Millennial Kingdom and particularly that 4th temple. I realize the Millennial Kingdom temple is often called the 3rd temple, but that is inappropriate. Just because the Tabernacle Moses constructed was mobile and not stationery – certainly does not disqualify it as a temple. That Tabernacle is specifically called a temple in God’s word twice in the first 3 chapters of 1st Samuel. We can be absolutely certain this ‘temple’ referred to in Samuel was not some other permanent structure because God himself testifies to this exact fact when He forbids David to construct a house for God.
2 Sam 7:5-7 Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the Lord, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in? 6 Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle. 7 In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of cedar?
There was no permanent structure that served as a temple prior to the promises to David, therefore the Tabernacle, constructed with the divine design given to Moses, that served as the center of worship for the enlightened community in days of Hannah and the birth of Samuel was most definitely identified as the 1st temple of God. The temple Solomon constructed was the 2nd and not the first.
Now this is highly significant and will yield a beauty and a glory in divine testimony that is blackened and unwitnessed if we dismiss the Tabernacle’s qualification as a temple by inappropriately suggesting the Millennial Kingdom Temple will only be the 3rd… but we will get to that at the right time. We need to build a staircase of reasoning in order for our understanding to climb safely up into the heavens to witness a greater degree of the glory of God. We have to go step by step in logical fashion, but being very careful that each of these steps is completely secure.
Ezekiel records his 3rd eyewitness account of the cherubim in chapter
43:2-3 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory. 3 And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar;
Again Ezekiel refers to the cherubim as representing the glory of God. The prophet identifies this vision with both previous visions. The 2nd cherubim vision is defined as when he came to destroy the city… which of course was presented in Ezekiel chapter 9 with the destruction of the city just before the cherubim are witnessed in chapter 10. But he also identifies this 3rd cherubim vision with the 1st vision by saying it was just what he saw by the river Chebar, which was back in Babylon and the only recorded vision the prophet had at that time was the cherubim.
This 3rd cherubim vision also immediately follows a destruction at Jerusalem, presented in chapters 38 and 39, immediately following the prophecy of the 2 resurrections of the nation of Israel… political and spiritual. These Armageddon prophecies define a destrution according to how the 2nd cherubim vision in chapter 10 immediately follows the destruction and slaughter at Jerusalem described in chapter 9. Another similarity between the two city destruction accounts immediately preceding these two cherubim visions is how the Gogian invasion and slaughter at Jerusalem that is described in Ezekiel chapter 38-39 is also a gang of 6 that come out of the north to slaughter… just like Ezekiel 9 immediately preceding that 2nd cherubim vision. In chapter 9 we see 5 that actually slaughter and 1 that marks the foreheads of those to be spared that slaughter. In chapters 38-39 we again see that 1 out of every six among the Gogian 6 nation confederacy of Rosh, Persia, Ethiopia, Libya, Gomer and Togarmah… 1 out of every six of the invaders from the north will be spared destruction by Christ and the immortalized saints… in other words the substance casting the cherubim shadow. We see that 1/6th noted in
Ezek 39:2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
This precision redundancy in the context of the Jerusalem destruction timing for the 2nd & 3rd cherubim visions is very significant and very validating to our understanding that the cherubim are shadow representations of the immortalized Christ and the saints.
The timestamp for this 3rd cherubim vision is defined in the next chapter immediately following the great detail of the Jerusalem destruction.
Ezek 40:1-2 In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the Lord was upon me, and brought me thither. 2 In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.
This is now the 25th year of captivity, 20 years after Ezekiel’s 1st cherubim vision at Babylon which was defined as the both the 30th year and also the 5th year of the captivity. We are also told this was the 14th year since the destruction of Jerusalem. We are also told this was the beginning of the year, indicating the 1st month… as well as being specifically the 10th day of that 1st month. That timestamp of the 10th day of the 1st month should prompt an association with Passover. The 10th day of the first month was the day when the Passover lamb was identified and set apart. We read this in the context of Yahweh’s instructions to the enlightened community in
Exodus 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
The Passover lamb would be identified and kept from that 10th day until the 14 day of that first month of the year when it had to be killed, roasted whole without any bones being broken, eaten and have the remains completely incinerated all in the darkness of Passover night.. which is the first half of Passover Day, since the Jewish day begins at sunset by divine precedent. This, of course, perfectly parallels the experience of our Savior. Four days before his execution, Jesus was identified as the antitypical Passover lamb on the 10th day of Nisan, that first month of the Jewish year… when he paraded into Jerusalem on the colt to shouts of Hosanna Son of David, which means save us now son of David. Jesus was publicly chosen as the Passover lamb that would save the enlightened, covenant bound community from death on the same 10th day of of the 1st month that Ezekiel was given this vision of the Kingdom and the 3rd Cherubim vision. Our Messiah’s visibility over those first three days before Passover was very pronounced. The next day, on the 11th, Jesus very aggressively cleansed the temple, throwing over the money conversion tables and preventing men from carrying burdens through the temple courtyard. Two days before Passover he publicly pronounces the 8 woes against the scribes and Pharisees, the religious leaders of the enlightened, covenant bound children of God. He also answers a range of silly questions intended to embarrass him, such as paying taxes and the woman with 7 brother husbands. He offers the Olivet prophecies to some of his disciples late on that 12th day of Nisan and then on that evening immediately preceding Passover, the 13th, he is at the home of Simon the leper where he is anointed with a very expensive ointment. We are told this act prompts Judas to betray Jesus. Later that same day, the day just before Passover, Judas conspires to betray Jesus. It is the beginning of Passover day, just after sunset, that 4th day since he was publicly appointed as the Passover lamb whose blood would save from death, that Jesus ate the Passover meal, was arrested and tried in the darkness and then, just like the rules for the Passover lambs he died in the darkness. He died after only 6 hours of crucifixion with the last 3 hours being a divinely imposed darkness. Just like the Passover lamb that was a shadow of his substance, Jesus was arrested tried, sentenced and then finally died… all in darkness on Passover day.
Therefore when we see this timestamp for Ezekiel’s 3rd cherubim vision being the 10th day of the first month, our attention should go to the substance casting the Passover lamb shadow… our Messiah. However we should also realize that scriptural timestamps can also serve as prophetic indications. Just like the 4 day pattern of the Passover Lamb, it will be the 4th divine day from Ezekiel’s vision when Christ will be glorified in his saints… saving them forever from death and the Millennial Kingdom will begin and Ezekiel’s visions in chapters 40-48 will be fulfilled. Ezekiel’s visions are experienced in the 6th century BC, almost halfway through that 4th millennium since creation, halfway through that divine day. We probably all remember how the Bible defines a millennium, a thousand years, as being equivalent to a single divine day, from Psalm 90:4 and 2 Peter 3:8. So then there will be an additional 2 millenniums between the death and resurrection of our Messiah until the introduction of the Millennial Kingdom which will be the 7th divine day from creation, but it will also be the 4th divine day since Ezekiel’s 3rd cherubim vision that was timestamped as being the 10th day of the first month, 4 days before Passover. This is what I mean by the hidden glory in our Creator’s testimony that is reserved exclusively for those within the enlightened community with the circumcised hearts that permit the development of eyes that can see and ears that can hear what is divinely and intentionally hidden from all others
Another interesting passover parallel springing from this 10th day of the first month timestamp would be the exact 50 year timeframe from King Josiah’s great Passover that initiated such a wonderful national repentance and participation by the enlightened, covenant bound children of God. I would suggest this hidden timeline identifying Ezekiel’s vision of the Millennial Kingdom and particularly the temple being a 50 year jubilee from the great national repentance at Passover has a prophetic nature to when Israel will experience their last national repentance. This will be at the point when the immortalized Christ and the saints will appear and save them at Jerusalem as they are being butchered… in the exact same context as the 2nd and 3rd Cherubim visions. This will be at the introduction of that substance of the Millennial Kingdom when the antitypical Passover Lamb- Jesus- will have just provided the Passover-like eternal passing over of death for the saints that he will choose at that same introduction of the restored Kingdom. Therefore let’s validate our timestamp to insure our confidence in the prophetic shadow of this jubilee timestamp. Remember a 50 year jubilee indicates freedom, liberty and the return to ancestral lands.
We know exactly when that national repentance took place under King Josiah… after the book of the law was found and the temple was restored, Josiah removed all the false teachers and corrupters of Yahweh’s truths from the enlightened community and commanded a great Passover be kept in the 18th year of his 31 year reign.
2 Kings 22:1 Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem.
2 Kings 23:21-24 And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover unto the Lord your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant. 22 Surely there was not holden such a passover from the days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah; 23 But in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, wherein this passover was holden to the Lord in Jerusalem. 24 Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the Lord.
So after 11 years from our initial timestamp of this great national repentance at Passover we have a new king: Jehoahaz, but he only lasts a few months.
2 Kings 23 31 Jehoahaz was twenty and three years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.
Next we have Jehoiakim, who reigns for 11 years… offering a sum of 24 1/4 years from that great passover
2 kings 23: 34,36 And Pharaoh-nechoh made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in the room of Josiah his father, and turned his name to Jehoiakim, and took Jehoahaz away: and he came to Egypt, and died there. 36 Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.
Jehoichin: 3 months … 1st deportation
2 Kings 24:8 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months.
This offers a total of 24 1/2 years to the 1st deportation
We add to that the final timestamp of Ezekiel for this vision being 25 years from the deportation and we get 49 1/2 years, but since we have the exact day and month identified for the initial timestamp of Passover in the 18th year of Josiah’s reign and the Passover Lamb identification day for Ezekiel’s vision we know that there are another 6 months spread out among those various timestamps
Cross-referencing these timestamps reveals this exact 50 year timeframe -to the exact day – between the great national repentance at Passover during King Josiah’s reign and Ezekiel’s vision of the Millennial Kingdom, the temple and of course … the cherubim. As we probably know, the 50th year was the jubilee year, the 8th Sabbath year within a 50 year term. That year represented freedom, liberty and every Jewish person returning to their ancestral inheritance. Similarly when the substance casting that shadow of Ezekiel’s vision is revealed the Jewish people will not only experience their greatest and their final national repentance, they will be freed from the global anti-semitism and societal hatred they have suffered due to the divine curse imposed on them in Deuteronomy 28 and Leviticus 26 for their national disobedience. They will also return to their ancestral land from all over the globe. This final national repentance will also coincide with the destruction of the city by 6 out of the north that is projected just before the appearance of the cherubim in both the 2nd and 3rd cherubim visions of Ezekiel. And just like the timestamp of the 10th day of the first month when the Passover lamb would be identified… the Jewish people will recognize their Messiah as being Jesus of Nazareth. Zechariah prophesies how they will ask how the man that saves them from the Gogian led destruction got those wounds in his hands and side. Zechariah 12 describes an incredibly powerful national repentance that is not mob inspired but experienced on a completely personal level.
This is the nature of the hidden beauty within the testimony of our heavenly Father. There is an incredible glory and beauty beneath the surface of both the written and spoken testimony of our Creator… which are the Bible and creation. That glory is only accessible to those within the enlightened community with circumcised hearts, a condition that has historically been very limited within the enlightened community since we were ejected from Eden. We have to understand the terms of our Creator’s righteousness correctly or all this beauty and glory just fades to black.
So let’s address this issue of why Ezekiel had exactly 3 cherubim visions and how this fits perfectly and prophetically into a great pattern in our heavenly Father’s written testimony. The cherubim serve as a shadow projection of the immortalized Christ and the saints. This understanding is validated in the harmony demonstrated in recognizing there are 3 separate immortalization events in the plan of the Creator for Jesus Christ and the saints. Jesus Christ was immortalized almost 2,000 years ago. The first set of saints will be immortalized at the introduction of the Millennial Kingdom. The 2nd set of saints will be immortalized just after the conclusion of the Millennial Kingdom… thereby making 3 separate immortalization events… or in the terms of another validation of this pattern… 3 divine harvests in the plan of God when our Creator will harvest the matured fruit of His image and likeness that will have developed from the seed He sowed into the dust construction of faithful human beings. There were 3 great harvest feasts mandated by Yahweh during the 1st Kingdom Age. These 3 agricultural harvest feasts were the Feast of Unleavened Bread, projecting the immortalization of our savior, Jesus Christ as well as secondly the Feast of Weeks, projecting the salvation, the divine harvesting of the saints at the beginning of the Millennial Kingdom and also the Feast of Tabernacles, that feast of the final ingathering, that shadow projects the 3rd and last immortalization scheduled after the conclusion of the Millennial Kingdom, in that 8th divine day since creation.
These 3 immortalization events in the Creator’s plan are shadow projected in quite a number of ways throughout scripture in addition to Ezekiel’s 3 cherubim visions and the 3 harvest feast weeks. We have actually reviewed these parallels previously in these Visions of the Kingdom Age presentations. The 3 progressive rituals performed in the Most Holy Chamber of the divine sanctuary on each Day of Atonement also serve as the perfect prophetic template for those 3 immortalizations of Christ and the saints. The 3 outpourings from heaven of the Holy Spirit power coinciding with 3 baptism experiences beginning with Jesus and ending at the home of the Gentile Cornelius frames this same 3 immortalization plan. Additionally, the 3 records of the transfiguration on the mount with their separate promise to reality timestamps of ‘after 6 days’ and ‘about 8 days’ identifies this same 3 immortalization plan. Ezekiel’s 3 cherubim visions with their perfectly coordinated timestamps serve as just another shadow image of this same feature of the Creator’s plan that, a plan that even preceded the 7 day creation week.
In our next Visions of the Kingdom Age class – not 36 – we will look more closely at the 2 timestamps for Ezekiel’s first 2 cherubim visions and address the question as to why God separated these two immortalization visions by exactly 420 days or 14 months.
